Number of poker chips I should buy?
I'm looking to buy enough poker chips that could accommodate a 9-10 person ring game playing .25/.50 stakes. How much of each denomination is recommended? Also useful would be to know how much of each denomination come in a standard 500/650 chip case set, and whether that is enough to accommodate for the type of game listed above. All help is appreciated!
A 500 chip / 4 color set should be more than enough.

All card games require a certain level of skill. Although luck might play a role in some winnings, a card player has no chance of winning if he does not strategize how he plans to win. Some games require higher levels of skill than others. However, each of the players in a card game is requires to be fully alert. This allows players to anticipate their opponents' moves.
