What is "farming" a reference to in regards to poker (Texas Hold'em)??

I was playing a cheap table and a guy said he was just farming the table. . .I've got no clue what he meant. . . .

Just following the basics is enough to beat 90% of the card players out there. You don't have to do anything spectacular. He meant he was taking all the easy money you get by just playing the basics against people who can't even do that.
