I've played in six hold-em tournaments....?

They were small ones no more than four tables at the most. I've gone out before the blinds went around once twice and I have finished 1st, 3rd, and 7th.

What is the next step for me, I am trying to feel comfortable playing. Should I try the $2-4.00 hold-em tables? They also have $3.00-6.00.

I am reading a ton of books on the psychology of poker, and books on strategy. Now I feel like I need practical experience. Any advice?
