Abandoned Poker hand and Chips?

There are three players in the hand , player 1 goes all in with a pair of Kings for 5600.00 in chips player 2 calls with a pair of jacks , player 3 goes over that bet all in , with a suited King & 3 , player 2 calls this raise of 3600 more chips . no one helps until the river, player 1 gets a king for trips. Player 3 then gets up and walks out of the casino . leaving the side pot .what happens with the side pot chips. Player 2 had 3600.00 in the side pot plus player no.3 had 3600.chips . Floor person ruled the chips had to stay at the number 3 seat and be blinded out rather than award them to player number 2

The floor here made the right call, you as a player have a right to get up and go if you want to, blinds are just taken as they come around. If the person who was in the pot won the chips then they are his, and if he wants to sit out he has every right to do so. Just like in a cash game, you can sit out, or go get a drink, all that happens is you will not be dealt a hand, and when you come back you have to post any blinds you have missed. I know i have left in the middle of a tournement to go get something to eat, and then come back some time later, and you can do the same. Now if that same player still has an active hand, and he has to call a bet and he gets up and leaves, then his hand is folded and any right he has to the pot is null and void, but since the action was done, then he gets to keep what he won, and he can sit out all day if he wants to.
