Poker Set 300
poker set 300

how do you try to keep yourself sane after a big gambling loss?
i play internet poker low limits after i lose about 200 to 300 dollars "the feeling" sets in --- its just an amorphous bad feeling like when you are hungry or hot or itchy but cant relieve the pain.
i dont mind being hot (mad) right after i sit up from the poker table. i just want to discipline myself to hopefully resolve the lingering bad feeling
i make about 8000 dollars / year playing internet poker. im not going to stop because im a loser. i'd stop because of the bad feeling.
i grow so tired of defending the money issue in poker. please only respond if you gamble

I know how you feel. I once lost $1,500 in 2 hands. Let's just say I was not the same person for a month. I guess if somehow I can get my $1,500 back, then I would feel much better. But I cannot, so I just had to live through this feeling. The one advice I can give you is give this some time. Eventually you will be okay, and you will feel much better about yourself, and most importantly you will learn from this.
There is a fine line between happy and unhappy when comes to the loss. If you lost $2, you can still be happy because no one cares about $2. If you lost $200, can you still be happy? If not, then you should not bet $200. Basically, the money you gamble with are the money you are willing to throw away and still be happy. You know what amount this should be and you should never exceed this amount at all time.
All the best!
