Finding the right IP / Address to Pathping / Tracert ...?
Based on a similar questions I've asked this week (please look at them and try to resolve them), I'm having severe connection issues with ALL online games (whether it be XBox, PS3, or PC). I'm even getting disconnected for the first time in 8 years from all these services. I have exceptional signal strength however, and am getting exact download / upload speeds that I've always been getting.
So, to troubleshoot (which I've been doing for 3 days now), I'm trying to pathping and tracert some of the "games", to see if there's a server/hop I'm getting hung up in. Can anyone please supply the correct address / ip address that I have to pathping / trace rt for the following games ...
XBox Live
World of Warcraft (Blizzard)

To find an IP address you need to use nslookup. This allows you to find an IP address based upon its domain name. DNS resolver.
IF you find the address, which I very much doubt (Microsofts are not published)you will need to go to ripe.net or nic.com and "whois" the IP address found via nslookup.
Your missing the common issue here. All THREE of them cant be bad. The common factor is at your end. Be that router, dsl DB or something at your end.
