NJ Home Poker Question... is it legal?
Hello,
Is it legal to ATTEND a home poker game in New Jersey that takes in a rake or entry fee at the door (which is claimed to be for food and drink expense?) I am not hosting, just plan on going to a place.

Technically, gambling for money just about anywhere in the US outside of a licensed casino is illegal. However, in practical terms it's unlikely to be an issue unless a complaint is filed (from neighbors for noise or crowds) or it's being held when a passing-by cop can see it and decide to hassle you.
