poker gifts for men

Anyone know a fun board game that involves cards? It would be a Christmas gift for a older man...?

My father-in-law likes board games and card games so for example he has a game called, Sequence, that we play in teams when we visit him and he also has a game called Tripoly (like poker) sort of with a board to throw chips in different sections of the board. But I want to get him something new and fun that is on the market now. Any ideas that could work? Thanks!
Thanks everyone, none seem right yet for my father-in-law but they are all fun ideas for my family. We play Clue and Uno a lot and I have heard about those newer German designed type games. I will be checking those out too! Thanks!

The games that you mentioned are very casual games. Many games, including Uno and Yahtzee fall into that category. Of course, Uno is just crazy eights and Yahtzee can be played with five dice and scrap paper.

Try one of the following. All involve cards and all are very casual. The first is the most involved rules-wise and even it makes startup quick and painless.

Mille Bornes (Play cards to "drive" 1,000 miles, with road hazards (e.g., flat tire) to play on opponents and corresponding cards (spare tire) to undo the problem. Also makes a good partner game for 4 or 6. This has been around since the '50s, but many have never heard of it.)

Apples to Apples (You take turns being the referee. The referee plays a card from the "descriptions" pile. The others play cards from their hand, which are "things", that best match the "description". The referee then picks the best match. The matches are often hilarious, so this is a fun (and funny) one.)

Five Crowns (A rummy variant with wild cards--or, try one of the tile rummy games, like Rummikub. The clacking of the tiles is always appealing.)

There are also many classic games involving cards. Here are two:
Pit (This one simulates trading on the commodities exchange--complete with a "hotel lobby" bell.)

Rack-O (All that you need to do is get your cards in order in your rack.)

When I grew up it was in a family that greatly cherished the holiday season.  We did not get together often outside those times of year, but you wouldn't know that by looking at us at Christmas.

We had a great tradition of playing poker every year.  When I was too young to play I would sit with my dad and watch him dreaming of when I too could play poker with the men I so looked up too.  It is amazing now to look back and see how they all had such an influence on how I turned out as an adult.

This holiday season I struggled to find a gift, as I often do, for my father.  They have all they "need" so I try to focus on something that will bring him true joy, and will remind him of me as often as possible.  I think I do this because I now live out of state and dont often get to see him. 

My fathers poker game is no longer played because most of the players have passed on.  When we talk about the Christmas' of old I can see he misses these games very much.  He is a big fan of poker and loves how popular the game has gotten.  Poker is something we could always talk about, even in the times things were not so great.  It served as a real bridge in times when I was growing up and we had no other topic of interest to discuss.  This may all seem so trivial but to us it is anything but.

 I now run many e-commerce business, and one of them sells home gaming supplies.  While many of my business do very well this one is not my best.  I think I keep it going partly because of my youth and the love of the poker game we played when I was a child.  I think on some level I want to bring that joy to others that I had as a child.

Taking all this into consideration I now know what I am going to give him this year.  I found him a few perfect poker chip sets.  I will be continuing the poker game this year.  All of the children have decided this is one of the best gifts we could recieve this Christmas.  We have all come to realize that time is the one thing we will not get more of with the great men in our lives.
