what are the possible consequences of underrage online gambling?

i have a friend who lets his kid play poker online for real money, the kid's money (he's 16). i feel like its wrong but i dont want to go reporting him or anything. what are some possible consequences to the parent? and the kid?

There are no consequences because there is no way to prove it. As long as he is using his father's account with his father's permission. IF he isn't than he could get into trouble for identity theft and simple credit card fraud. But with permission there is nothing the police can do that would give enough evidence to prove that it was him using the account. Don't worry about whether or not it is wrong because really this one is none of your business so i would suggest you keep out of it. Gambling is perfectly fine as long as you do it within your means and don't develope an addiction. IF you think he might have an addiction then give him the number "1-800-betsoff" and they will help him take steps to deal with the problem. But either way I am sure he is doing it just for fun so don't worry at all.
