How should I set the blinds in a heads up poker match?
I'm trying to practice my heads-up game a lot with a few friends. I'm wondering what would be the best way to play a heads-up game though. What I usually do is 500 chips each, and start the blinds at 5/10, then 10/20, 20/40, 40/80, 60/120, then stop at 100/200 (it rarely gets up here). I feel that having the BB being 1/50th of a player's pot to be somewhat better than 1/500th or 1/100th or anything like that because it makes the blinds atleast somewhat meaningful and it makes sense since people that make it to a heads-up game are already dealing with increasing blinds anyway. I just want different opinion on what pots and blinds should be.

If you are trying to work on your heads up game... like at the end of a tourney, then you should approximate how many blinds do the two people have when the game reaches that stage... usually it would not be 50 BB each.
But otherwise, the way you have it seems fine starting from scratch, but without knowing how long your levels are, just knowing the levels doesn't tell you a whole lot.
