Is it a gambling problem or am i just trying to get better at a sport?
Here is the thing, i play poker as much as i can when im not working, i dont ditch my friends or use my rent money or anything to play cards, i play within my bankroll. On top of that im a winning player, for the petty stakes i play. ussually about 20-30 bucks when i play a home game. The reason i play so much is i want to get better and try to be the best i can to make some real money or be a professional.
My family thinks i have a gambling problem, but i dont see the problem if im not hurting anyone or losing money.
With any sport you got to work hard to be the best. how should i approch my family to tell them that i dont have a problem and i just want to get better and to get better there is going to be alot of practice involved.
PS: they also didnt like the idea of me saying i wanted to move to vegas, but my home town is so borring and worless! highest paying job is like 15 bucks an hour lol

i'm thinking the "moving to vegas" might have convinced your family that you have a gambling problem. but from everything else that you said, i don't think you do. you're not going over the top or anything.
just make sure you don't start getting out of control with it. but just wanting to get better at it and learn more about the game isn't a bad thing.
