That being said, ones that are offered for free or for $200 are a complete scam. Specifically, I can tell you from first hand experience that the bot sold for $129 at bonusbots.com is a SCAM. Although I guess many people have gotten scammed for more than $129, so I guess I can't complain too much.

There are basically two ways to get a winning poker bot.

1) Become a computer programmer with a lot of spare time. I once managed to develop a successful bot using the Open Holdem platform. But, with about 200 hours of work put into it, I only managed to be able to get it to beat .10/.25 Limit games. And at that, it only made about $1-$2/hr, which is probably not the kind of profit you're looking for.

2) Take out your wallet very carefully, and do some research online. Believe me, winning bots do exist, and they exist on a much higher level than my bot was winning. Be prepared to shell out upwards of $5,000 for one of these bots, and make sure you can get some kind of test run before purchasing it.
