in poker, if you only have enough to cover part of the blind in tournament are you entitled to full blind pot?

in no-limit texas hold 'em you can only recover your initial blind, plus however many calls you had on it. so say you bet 30 chips, and 3 people called, you would have 120 chips. any subseqent bets would go in a side pot for the other players to win. i assume this holds true for other brands of poker also.
