So I read "Online Ace" by Fischman, and I have a few questions?

First off, I'm pretty much a beginner, and I was just following the guidelines he set for sit and go poker. However, I'm unsure of how to play the "end game" well. I can survive fairly well, out of four tries I have placed (out of nine) 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th so I'm barely staying above even. The problem is, I have no idea how to bet during showdowns. I continue to go "all out" and either go all-in or fold. The times I finished 2nd and 3rd, I could always build huge chip leads (the time I finished 2nd I was actually about 10 times over what he had), but my continuous all ins would eventually run into a strong hand.

in sit n' go's, in the end part of the tournament there aren't enough chips in play for people to make small raises and be able to get away from hands...so i don't believe that your strategy is incorrect, it may be that you just happen to be making moves at the wrong times...perhaps you should fold a few more hands and make less moves, and be a little more patient...other than that, there's not much advice i can give, it seems like your strategy is fine

All About the Popularity of Online Poker Playing

Ever since the World Series of Poker started being televised, the whole world decided to jump on to the bandwagon, and today millions of people play Texas Hold ’em and other poker games for fun.  Many people choose to play online, as web-based casinos make it possible to enjoy a game of poker from home.  People watch WSOP on TV and decide that they want to try their luck and skills as well.

Some famous poker players gamble online as well, including Chris Moneymaker.  In 2003, he put up $40 to enter a satellite poker tournament, which won him a seat at the main event in Las Vegas.  He then won $2.5 million with that main event entry!  Now, countless others are trying to follow his example.  Online poker gives people the chance to play for real money and other prizes.

There are those who worry about a gambling addiction.  Fortunately, online poker is a lot less costly to play than land-based casino poker.  The only problem some players may face is knowing when to exit that game window and call it quits for the night.  Online playing requires some amount of self control, which, for the most part, most players seem to have.

All types of players participate in online poker games.  The internet is a great way for beginners to learn, since it requires no physical interaction.  Beginners will not feel intimidated when trying to learn, and can work on improving their skills all they want.  Intermediate players can try out new strategies and learn how to play different versions of the game.  They can even try their luck at online tournaments.  In addition, of course, advanced players can gamble online to test their skills out against others and win money in the process.

Many people are saving money in addition to winning it.  They can save a lot of money by getting their source of entertainment at home rather than going out.  The poker sites themselves give out bonuses that can be used for free games.  Free playing is also a great way to save money for those who do not want to spend a lot on their entertainment.

Those who enjoy chatting with others can do so while playing, as poker sites have become internet social hubs.  It is a great way to make friends with other people from around the world.  Indeed, some play just so that they can chat with their online friends and keep up with all the latest gossip!  Some websites even allow players to make an “about me” profile page.

There are a large number of poker rooms, so it can sometimes be difficult to find a place to play.  Some of the top sites have thousands of players at any given time, so those seeking a lot of excitement will definitely find some at the top sites.  Those who want to play for money and prizes, however, should stick with playing in less crowded game rooms so that they will have less competition to worry about.

The majority of online poker rooms are secure these days, as many offer 128 bit encryption.  The fully developed websites that have been around for many years are the most trustworthy.  They are the ones that offer the largest selection of games and best prizes to players in order to keep them coming back for more!
