No Limit Hold Em Poker
no limit hold em poker

Hey I know there is a rule in Texas hold em poker (no limit)?
THe rule is like when someone decides to raise the blinds before the cards are dealt does any one know what it is called or know the exact specfications on it?
it's called a live straddle. In no limit, they can straddle for any amount.
for example, the blinds are 2-5, the person under the gun (after the big blind can straddle for at least double the big blind, so at least 10 dollars, but can straddle for more. They are also last to act preflop, meaning, they can raise it when it comes around to them.
In the state of Mississippi, there's what's called a Mississippi straddle...in that case, anyone can straddle from any position. The button has the first dibs on this, and acts last preflop, just like above, but the button acts last...not a bad play. But that's only in Mississipi.

Number three: Learn to manage your money. Money management does not mean giving your self a set amount to play with or lose. Instead, it means knowing when to stay in the game and when to go out. For instance, if there are easy players to win from, stay. If, on the other hand, there are some real good players left, then you may want to think about quitting. Another example is when you’re on a big losing streak. In cases like this, it is always a good idea to play in lower limit games in order to build your bankroll up and to shore up your game. Remember that if you can’t manage your money, then you won’t have any.
Number four: Try not to be too predictable. Don’t play the same hands the same way all the time. By occasionally swaying from your normal style of play, you’ll keep your opponents off balance. Number five: Practice and play. In order to learn the game and improve your poker game, you must play and play fairly often. Studying what the best hands are and reading about strategy may be helpful. However, you will eventually need to apply that knowledge into practice.
May these Texas Hold ‘em poker strategy tips help bring out the best poker player in you.
