What do you guys think ? Is poker about luck or skills?

For me, I think poker is about both. A person can have a lot of luck, but they don't necessarily win. A person can have a lot of skillz but they don't necessarily win also. The pro arguments for the game being about skill includes: better cards reading, knowing when to bluff, when to call, when to fold, how much to raise, when to limp, cards probability for a limp, preflop dominance, traps, and so on. A nother way to say that Poker is not all about luck and that skillz play a bigger part in the game is that "u can play someone who skilled and that they will always win more game then you". So what you guys think? Is the game more about luck or skillz?

The shorter the time frame, the more poker is about luck. If the best player in the world played the worst player for just one hand, luck would almost totally dominate. But expand the time frame to a lifetime and the distribution of cards would be roughly the same for each player. Both would get roughly the same number of pocket aces, pocket kings, and trash hands. The good player however, would be able to extract the most value out of his cards by winning more on his good hands and losing less on his weak hands. So, assuming players play the game long enough, I would definitely say that although poker contains variance (or what many call luck), skill dominates the game more the longer it is played.
