Last night I brought up some past situations we never really have resolved.?

The problem is that this time he told me something very different and said he never said what it is I remember him saying. I'm so pissed, hurt, emberraced and I feel hopeless that this marriage will never survive. Can it be saved? Can he stop lying, and does it mean he hasn't a concience?

Typical. I've got a partner who also has a very good way of turning things round, making it seem as if I'm the one who's done something wrong. But, mine doesn't start playing on-line poker, on goes the tv and he starts "channel hopping", or he pretends to be asleep! Very, very annoying.

There's nothing worse, (in my book, any way), than being lied to. The truth may hurt, but lies, well? You've tried to believe, what turns out to be a lie, then when the "truth" does come out, you don't know whether it is, or not.

It's so easy to do the proverbial "bury your head in the sand", i.e. switch off the actual subject, watch the tv, play on-line poker, turn the subject on to something completely different etc., but, at the end of the day, the original grievance is still there.

No-one likes "ultimatums", but I do honestly think that you are going to have to start issuing one or two - unplug the computer, cut the plug off, if you have to, make sure the two of you are on your own, (you don't need a 3rd party putting their views in at that time), and tell him "We need to sort this out, once and for all, or......". And MEAN WHAT YOU SAY!

If there is any hope of saving your marriage, you need to clear the air. You go into a marriage, hopefully, with 100% trust, and when someone, anyone, destroys that, you never get it back; it's gone for ever. But, you can at least make a start on trying, by being open AND HONEST. Yes, the truth does hurt, but your husband has GOT to see for himself the damage he has done to you, your relationship, and really, to himself!

I do wish you luck, and hope that you can resolve what ever the issues are that have, and still are causing you so much hurt and pain at the moment.

If it's any consolation, I'm not talking to my other half at the moment! If he wants his mates so much, he can bloody well go and live with them! Ha!
