How To Get The Most Out Of Poker Bonuses By Using Kickbacks

When players sign up to online poker sites, both the sites themselves and any affiliate that the player might be signing up through tend to offer bonuses as an incentive to play through them.

Usually, all poker sites offer a first deposit sign up bonus which is equivalant to 100% of the amount that the player has deposited. What the sites don't make easy to understand though, is that you have to actually play a certain amount of poker and pay a certain amount of rake, which is always more than the bonus which they are paying you.

You see, whenever you play online poker, the site takes a percentage of every pot played, usually five percent, and adds a fee onto every tournament entry cost, usually ten percent. This percentage that they take is known as the rake, and is how poker sites make their money.

When clearing your first deposit bonus, you always have to earn a certain amount of player points before the bonus is given to you. For instance, if you deposit $100, and are given a $100 sign up bonus, you'll be told after you've deposited that the bonus will be credited to your account once you've earned one thousand player points.

If you then research further, you'll discover that for every dollar you pay in rake, you'll be awarded two player points. This of course means, that to earn the required one thousand player points, you'll have to rake $500. So what the poker site is marketing as a free sign up bonus, is actually costing you five times as much as you're getting back.

Of course different sites first deposit bonuses clear at different rates, but the one thing they have in common is that they all give you back less money than they earn from you. There is a way to get alot more money from the poker sites though.

You can sign up to the poker sites through specialist affiliates who offer what have come to be known as "kickbacks". What there affiliates do is make deals with the poker sites whereby the affiliate is given a one off payment for every customer that they send to the poker site. The affiliate then offers a large percentage of the fee that they recieve to the player in return for the player signing up through them.

So for instance, instead of depositing $50 and only recieving a $50 sign up bonus from the site, you could also recieve a $100 kickback on top from the affiliate, giving you a total of $150 instead of $50 for meeting exactly the same points requirements, and as the affiliate also makes a little money from you signing up through them, they're very happy to give you this extra bonus.

As alot of these poker kickback bonuses actually give you back more than you pay in rake, alot of smart poker players have now started depositing their money through a kickback affiliate, clearing the requirements to recieve the poker kickback bonus, then withdrawing their money and signing up at a different poker site to recieve a kickback there as well.

As there are no limits to the amount of kickbacks that you can claim, this practice is turning into a very profitable venture for poker players everywhere.
